Victor Valley Transit's Kevin Kane Presented with Joint Resolution

 

Our office, in partnership with Supervisor Dawn Rowe, was pleased to present a Joint Resolution to Victor Valley Transit Authority Executive Director Kevin Kane, who is retiring after 24 years of dedicated service to the Victor Valley.

Kevin became the Executive Director in 1998. Under his leadership, VVTA has operated out of two facilities that serve Adelanto, Apple Valley, Barstow, Hesperia, Victorville, and unincorporated portions of San Bernardino County.

His innovative leadership led VVTA to transition its fleet and operations to zero emissions and create a CTSA program, a volunteer driver program, and a nationally recognized vehicle rental program.

Kevin has served as a Board Member for the California Association for Coordinated Transportation (CalACT) and as an Executive Committee Member for California Transit Association (CTA). He has received the CTA Distinguished Service Award, the CTA Transit Leadership Award, the CalACT Outstanding Transportation Agency of the Year award, and the CalACT Wall of Excellence Award.
