Operation Hammer Strike Takes Aim At Illegal Grows in Apple Valley, Helendale

During Week 25 of Operation Hammer Strike, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) joined deputies from patrol stations including Apple Valley and Helendale to investigate illegal marijuana grows.

Between Feb. 14-20, the deputies served 16 search warrants and arrested 43 suspects. They also seized 46,577 marijuana plants, 2,703 pounds of processed marijuana, nine guns, and over $6,000 in cash.  A total of 119 greenhouses were eradicated in addition to five indoor locations.  

Remember — Property owners who are growing marijuana or are aware their tenants are growing marijuana on their properties in violation of the state law and local ordinances may also be subject to civil or criminal sanctions.
