Meet the Intern: Tanner Porter

Please join our staff in welcoming intern Tanner Porter to the First District team. Tanner, 24, has been interning with our office for the past two months.

He received his associate's degree in Liberal Arts from Victor Valley College, and recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science & American Government from Southern Utah University. He plans to continue his education with a master’s degree in National Security Studies and Cyber Security from California State University, San Bernardino.

"I have worked within politics in various ways, from volunteering on campaigns, working as a Congressional intern, working with the 2020 Census, and lately working as an intern for San Bernardino County Supervisor Paul Cook," said Porter.

Tanner's hobbies include reading and writing books, programming and coding, swimming, and spending time with his family.

"To me, being an intern is learning for myself what it’s like to work with Government," he said.
