County's Rent Relief Partnership Program to offer residents emergency rental assistance
April 14, 2021
San Bernardino County's new emergency rental assistance program, the San Bernardino County Rent Relief Partnership, will distribute more than $46.8 million in federal funds to assist households who have been hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program, a partnership with Inland SoCal 211, will provide residents with up to 12 months of rental arrears and/or prospective rent payments, as well as utility arrears and prospective assistance.
Eligible households must reside within San Bernardino County, be obligated to pay rent on a residential dwelling, and have a household income at or below 50 percent of the area's median income. The program is available through December 31, 2021, or until all funds are exhausted, whichever occurs first.
Both renters and landlords (on behalf of their tenants) can apply. For more information, go to https://www.sbcrentrelief.com or dial 211 and select extension 5.
The State of California’s CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program is a separate program serving households with an income of above 50 percent median area income and below 80 percent median area income. Please visit https://housing.ca.gov/.for more information.
