Did you know the County has ombudsmen who advocate for the dignity, quality of life, and quality of care for all residents in long-term care facilities? These independent, objective ombudsmen are authorized by federal and state law to receive, investigate, and resolve complaints by, or on behalf of, residents in long-term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and Community Care-licensed board and care homes. The County Department of Aging and Adult Services provides and coordinates ombudsman services. The 24-hour elder/dependent adult hotline is (877) 565-2020. For general senior assistance during business hours, call the senior assistance hotline at (800) 510-2020, or click here.
