On Friday, the Board of Supervisors announced that all San Bernardino County residents ages 65+ are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine under Phase 1A of the vaccination roadmap. Here in the High Desert, vaccines are being administered at Hesperia Health Center, located at 16453 Bear Valley Rd. in Hesperia. Vaccine supplies are scarce, and appointments are limited. You must have an appointment to get the vaccine.
The County plans to expand its distribution of the vaccine with mobile vaccination units to serve residents living in more most remote areas, as well as those who may have travel challenges. Community-based vaccination sites, created in partnership with local clinics and healthcare providers, and a "super site" for mass vaccinations, will be announced soon.
Seniors can sign up for email and text notifications about vaccination opportunities through the “65+ Vaccine Notification Sign Up” link.
