The opioid crisis continues to plague our communities, but thanks to the quick thinking of Victor Valley Station’s Deputy Jacob Rowley, two individuals are alive today. Constituent Services Director Samuel Shoup was pleased to present a Certificate of Recognition to Deputy Rowley for his life-saving work.

Using his training and experience, Deputy Rowley administered Narcan to two overdosing individuals during separate calls for service earlier this year. Both individuals became responsive and started breathing normally following his aid, and were transported to Victor Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Thank you, Deputy Rowley! You are a true hero.
