The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is offering its next "Lady Be Aware" training sessions on Feb. 18, March 18, April 15, May 20 and June 17.

This single-day, 8-hour course covers all types of safety — including cyber safety, home safety, situational awareness, and physical safety. Participants also get hands-on self-defense training, including the opportunity to shoot three different types of firearms.

Hours are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The class takes place at the Sheriff's Department Training Center, located at 19801 Institution Road, Devore. Wear comfortable clothing and no flip flops or shorts. Participants must provide a drivers' license to enroll, and once registered, payment is due to hold your seat. Cost is $75 per person.
