Victor Valley Community Services Council Offers Free Senior Assistance
September 07, 2022
Founded in 1956, the Victor Valley Community Services Council (VVCSC) is a non-profit agency that provides services for seniors and disabled persons through a grant from the Department of Aging and Adult Services, Caltrans and its Great Duck Race fundraiser.
Among the services provided by VVCSC are free house cleaning for seniors with mobility challenges, shopping assistance, minor home repairs, friendly visits, telephone reassurance, local door-to-door transportation, and monthly activities.
Currently, with the triple-digit heat hitting our region, the VVCSC is offering fans (and some portable cooling units) to seniors 60 and up who do not have cooling. Supplies are limited, and individuals must qualify.
The group serves the High Desert regions of Apple Valley, Victorville, Phelan, Hesperia, Adelanto, and parts of Lucerne and Barstow.
