High Desert Student Teams Compete in MEEC's Solar Oven Cookoff

Policy Advisor Christopher Porter was pleased to present awards to winners of the Mojave Environmental Education Consortium (MEEC) Solar Oven Cook-Off on Saturday.

MEEC is an environmental education nonprofit based out of Victorville. The cook-off features teams of 2-5 students who design and build solar cookers from recycled materials. Schools all over the High Desert competed by creating an original dish on their cooker. Congratulations to all of the winners!
