Community Cleanups Planned Throughout the High Desert

Old Town Victorville is hosting its free Dump Day and Community Cleanup on Saturday, April 2. Open to Old Town Victorville residents, the event offers a great opportunity to get rid of big bulky items, trash and household clutter. The cleanup is planned from 8 a.m. until noon at 16925 Forrest Avenue. If you can't get to the site, free pickups are available by calling 619-534-5399. Volunteers are welcome. City of Hesperia's Cleanup Day is planned on April 9. Register and submit a waiver by March 21 to receive a T-shirt. The last day to register is March 29.

The City of Victorville is seeking volunteers and sponsors for the next Victorville Community Cleanup Day scheduled for Saturday, April 23. Online registration for volunteers is available through the City’s website, or paper copies of the registration form can be requested by calling (760) 955-8615. The deadline to register is April 8 at 5 p.m.

Apple Valley's Community Cleanup Day is planned for residents on Saturday, April 9, from 8:30 a.m. until noon. The event will include a free non-hazardous material, tires and green waste drop off next to Lions Park from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. For more information, please call (760) 240-7880.

Phelan-Pinon Hills CSD is hosting its Earth Day Community Cleanup and Tire Day on Saturday, April 16. The event will include free residential trash & yard waste collection, free tire collection and free recyclable material collection. No hazardous materials, e-waste, or commercial waste. Limit of 9 tires (off rim) per resident; no commercial tires, please. The event will take place from 8 a.m. until noon at CR&R Service Yard, 9828 Buckwheat Rd., Phelan, CA 92371.
