Rock'n Our Disabilities Foundation Assists Special Needs Families

Rock'n Our Disabilities Foundation, a nonprofit organization located in Hesperia, is an inclusive community for High Desert children and young adults living with both physical and mental disabilities.

The organization, which focuses on adaptive recreation and sports, has several events planned next month:

The 6th annual Eggxtra Special Egg Trunk and Carnival is planned on Saturday, April 2. The event will take place from 11 am. until 2 p.m. at Epicenter, 17508 Hercules Street, Building C, in Hesperia. 

An 8-week “Prepping for Employment” course for residents ages 18 and up begins on April 6. Sign up now to participate. After completing the course, the group will partner participants with the county for paid job training up to the age of 25. Register here.

The 3rd Annual Dash for Disabilities “Superhero Walk & Roll” is planned on Saturday, April 30. The event will feature a fun-filled morning of activities, including games, vendors and food. Check-in is at 7:15 a.m. and the walk starts at 8 a.m. Cost is $25 for adults $15 for kids (ages 5-10). Proceeds will support families with special needs in our community. Pre-registration by April 15 includes a free T-shirt. 

The organization has also partnered with High Desert Autism Support Group to host in person parent support groups twice a month. The groups meet at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
