Shots Fired at Deputies During Illegal Marijuana Raid in El Mirage

During Week 18 of Operation Hammer Strike, San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies targeted locations in El Mirage and Adelanto. During one of those raids, three deputies were fired upon at Tanner Road in El Mirage. Thankfully, none of the deputies were injured, but the incident highlights how truly dangerous these raids of cartel-run operations have become.

Between Dec. 27 and Jan. 2, deputies eradicated 93 greenhouses, arrested 15 suspects and seized 7,972 marijuana plants, 4,575.7 pounds of processed marijuana, one gun, and over $212,000 in cash.
