Drought

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking homes for herds of wild horses and burros as the drought intensifies across the West. According to the agency, many of the water sources throughout the desert have been drying up. The BLM has started hauling supplemental water for some herds before an emergency gather can take place. For more information about adoption of these animals, call the Wild Horse and Burro Information Call Center at 866-468-7826.
