Congratulations to our San Bernardino County Library for winning a 2021 NACo Achievement Award for its Instant Digital Library Card program.

Although San Bernardino County's Digital Library Card was developed four years ago, the process could take up 3-5 days for completion. "This delay in receiving their Digital Library Card information discouraged usage," said County Librarian Michael Jimenez. "With a need and desire to better serve our residents, the San Bernardino County Library redeveloped the application process to instantly provide Digital Library Cards to customers following a new shortened application online."

According to Jimenez, this new process streamlined the customer’s experience and increased card signups and usage at a substantial rate. With the digital library cards, County residents have access to a host of free media, including physical books, digital books for e-readers, audiobooks and DVDs! Get your card now.
