Community Partners Hosting Vaccine Clinics
May 12, 2021
In March 2021, San Bernardino County become the first County in the state to partner with community groups in distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. Those efforts have continued throughout the County, and three events are planned over the next week here in the First District. Thanks to our many community partners who continue to spread the word and host walk-in vaccination clinics for our residents.
On May 14, El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center and Community Health Action Network will host a COVID-19 Moderna Vaccination Clinic at Capri Mobile Homes, 11423 Chamberlaine, Adelanto. For more information, call El Sol at 760-605-4250 or CHAN at 760-241-9900.
Burning Bush Church (14849 Seventh Street) in Victorville is opening its doors on May 17 to help San Bernardino County deliver as many “Shots for Hope” as possible. The event will take place from 10 a.m. 2 p.m. Pfizer vaccines will be provided and walk-ups are welcome!
Walk-ins are also welcome at High Desert Second Chance's COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 19. Just show up for your one-and-done Johnson & Johnson vaccine. No appointment necessary. The event will take place at 16666 Smoke Tree St., Building B4 in Hesperia.
Reminder: Victor Valley Transit Authority offers free door-to-door transportation services for 65 + residents getting vaccinated at Hook Community Center in Victorville or Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church in Apple Valley. Call 760-948-3030 to reserve your spot on the bus!
