The Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District and STIHL have renewed their partnership for another year of the annual Lawn & Garden Equipment Exchange. Beginning April 1, residents living within MDAQMD boundaries are eligible to participate by trading in their working, gas-powered equipment for zero-emission, battery-powered equivalents. The partnership with STIHL allows participants to make the swap at their convenience at one of several participating vendor locations throughout the Mojave Desert. The 2021 exchange program offers state-of-the-art battery-electric equipment for savings of up to $315. Vendors in Apple Valley, Hesperia, Phelan and Wrightwood will be participating. Read more.
