First District Communities Celebrate Summer with Summer Concert Series

It's that time of year again! The First District is celebrating summer with a variety of free summer concerts. Here are a few:

Town of Apple Valley’s Sunset Concert Series kicks off on Thursday with Boogie Wonderland, an Earth, Wind and Fire Tribute. The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Civic Center Amphitheater, located at 14999 Dale Evans Parkway, Apple Valley. For more information, go to applevalley.org

Music in The Mountains is back at Mountain High’s North Lodge with free live music from 4-8 p.m. every Saturday. This weekend, rock out with Delta Shade (pictured above). Seating is limited, so bring a lawn chair and a sweatshirt for the evening. The North Lodge is located at 24510 CA-2, Wrightwood. For more information, please call 760-316-7803.

Helendale's Concerts in the Park continues on June 10 with Aces & Eights. The shows will include a beer garden, food trucks and a car show. Be sure to bring blankets and chairs for the concerts. These free events will take place from 6-9 p.m. each month at 15425 Wild Road, Helendale. For more information, please call (760) 951-0006.

Victorville’s Concerts in the Park series begins on June 16 with the Country band, The Silverados. Bring your family for an evening of free musical entertainment, arts and crafts, KidsZone, and food vendors. Concerts take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Fridays at Hook Park, located at 14973 Joshua St., Victorville. For more information, call (760) 245-5551.
